We've provided customized canvas products and repair services to commercial and retail customers across industries for almost every purpose. We specialize in tarpaulins for the trucking industry but also manufacture custom covers for other industrial needs.
Our products can be manufactured using a broad array of materials and made to any specification. All tarps are manufactued by hand at our facility in Throop PA, USA. We do not sell tarps made with cheap, low quality imported material. At Gehringer Canvas "made the right way" comes standard.

Canvas is our Family Business...

After returning from the Pacific theater of World War II Robert Gehringer Sr. opened a canvas shop in Reading PA. Bob Sr. started out with just a small garage, a sewing machine, hammer, and a grommet tool. From these humble beginnings he built a strong foundation for the Gehringer family in the canvas business.

Growing up Bob Jr. spent many summers working in his father's shop and went to work for Dad full time after graduating high school. After learning the ropes the entrepreneurial spirit struck, and Bob opened his own shop in Scranton PA, with his father's blessing. Forty-plus years later Gehringer Canvas is still going strong. Bob and the rest of the team at Gehringer Canvas apply the same commitments to hard-work, quality craftsmanship, and relationship-based customer service that he learned working alongside his father.
